Carolina National Golf Club is nearly finished with a renovation program that has focused on the installation of brand-new Bermuda greens on all 27 holes. The operators of the course have taken advantage of the presence of three nines, reseeding the new greens one nine at a time over many months to ensure that 18 holes stay open for play at all times. The project will be complete as of fall 2013.
Many holes at Carolina National provide intrigue by way of double fairways and centerline bunkers, meaning players must plot out the best route to the hole rather than swinging recklessly. This stimulates and engages golfers and causes them to remember fondly their rounds over the course’s 27 holes.
